How to use Pick a Viewer

What is Pick A Viewer?

This feature will randomly select a member of your audience while you’re live! It works on solo, multi-seat, and audio streams and is the newest way to get your viewers involved in your stream.

Where can I use it?

You can use it in running games during your stream, if you want to call someone up from your audience, or choose a winner. There are more ways to use it based on your creativity.

What happens to the person selected?

That is up to you! Pick a Viewer is here to help you stream by not having to rely on anything else to select a viewer.

How will people know that they were picked?

We will show their name inside the Pick A Viewer widget and the results of the draw will also appear inside the chat.

Can my co hosts be selected by this?

Yes! 

                                                Note: Only kumu police and those who came in while the draw is ongoing will be exempted.

How do I use it?

Here's how you can use the Pick a Viewer:

1. Launch the kumu app and start a livestream. This feature will work on solo, multi-seat, and audio streams

                                   

                                     

2. While in stream click on the Kebab menu on the upper right hand corner of the screen

                                     

3. Tap “Pick a Viewer”

                                     

4. The widget is now on your screen, tap on “Pick a viewer” to start the countdown

                                     

5. A name was drawn! You’ll see it both on the stream and in the chat. Tap on the “redraw” button to get another name
