Kumu is making some changes to its user experience to help the kumunity identify the most active users in the app. Please read the below to stay up-to-date with these product changes!
Beginning March 1, badges earned on kumu will turn “inactive” if a user drops below a threshold of activity related to how they earned the badge. After reaching that threshold in that month, this will revert the badge back to an active state! An “inactive” badge will turn gray and blurry.
Why is my Streamer badge grayed out, and how do I fix it?
If your streamer badge (blue check/bronze/silver/gold/platinum) is grayed out, this means you have been idle or did not go live for at least 1 hour in the past 30 days.
To fix this, you will need to go live for a minimum of 10 hours to recover the colors in that month or whenever the creator qualifies. Going live with a grayed out badge does not have any impact in explore page rankings.
For GTS users, the following considerations will be followed based on spending history:
For GTS Users with Streamer Badge | Reached Minimum Stream hours? | Made Coin Purchase in the Past 30 days? | Streamer Badge Status |
Blue Check, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum |
Yes | Yes | No Gray out |
Blue Check, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum |
Yes | No | No Gray out |
Blue Check | No | Yes | No Gray out |
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum | No | No | Gray out |
What happens if I don’t hit required hours to fix my badge?
Don’t worry, you will not lose your badge! However, your streamer badge will remain grayed out in the next month.
