Send a Gift to Profile or Post

What is this?

Send a gift allows kumu users to send gifts to others (and vice versa) in two ways:

• via the user profile
• via post, which can be found in the Following feed, or in a user’s Profile feed

Why do we have this?

1. This opens up more opportunities for our creators to earn diamonds in kumu. Their supporters can send gifts to them even if they are not live streaming.
2. This can attract new types of creators/viewers that thrive more on producing/consuming non-live content

           

How do I send a gift to profile or post?

A. Via Profile Header

1. Go to the profile page of the kumu user you want to send gift to
2. Click Send Gift option located below the profile description
3. Select the gift you want to send. Each gift has its corresponding price in kumu coins.
4. Click Send to confirm

   

B. Via Post

1. Posts/Klips in the Following Tab and in the user’s Profile Feed tab will have a Send Gift option
2. Select the gift you want to send. Each gift has its corresponding price in kumu coins.
3. Click Send to confirm.

     

How will I know if I got gifts from my profile or posts?

To check if you received gifts, which are reflected as diamonds, you can do the following:

1. Go to My Wallet screen. Refer to transaction logs. Tips will be reflected as Diamonds Added - from [username of gifter]
2. Go to Notifications Tab, it will be indicated there if someone sent you a gift and reflected as [username] sent a gift to your profile / [username] sent a gift to your profile
